Deep into the woods we went…to meet with Greg Grissinger and his family on their property, which treats visitors to a breathtaking view of the mountains. A homebuilder, Greg asked Green Arch to create a design that both exhibited a unique personality and captured the extraordinary view from their 40-acre home site near the Saluda River.
The Green Arch team worked over each detail to ensure the design would deliver the desired artful reflection of the river and the tranquil natural surroundings. As the builder, Greg was able to take the design and skillfully accomplish a home with the character he desired within the established budget.
Designed to celebrate family and creation the 4,000 square foot home is strategically situated on a hill which allows it to encompass the grand views. Continuity of living spaces lends itself to easy living while vast windows open the space to nature.
Entering the house visitors view the woods and begin a captivating sequence that leads to the living space where the story unfolds. Majestic mountains stand stalwart in the distance as the house comes to life with activity.
The private spaces also lend themselves to views of the spectacular nature surrounding them. Glimpses of the woods, an inner courtyard, and the living space add to the beauty of the master bedroom. Natural light floods the Master Bath. Curves in the ceiling and flooring reflect the attributes of the organic anatomy in surrounding views… all culminating in an environment that ensures family get-togethers become unforgettable events.
